Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Plan and prepare for application of the site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plan
   • Access, interpret and apply maintenance management plan documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
   • Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
   • Identify, address and report potential hazards, risks and environmental issues and implement control measures
   • Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work activities
   • Access, interpret, confirm and communicate geological and survey data
   • Prepare a maintenance management plan, in consultation with relevant personnel to make use of available resources, plant, tools and equipment,
   • Select and confirm availability of t resources for the safe, effective and efficient conduct of maintenance management tasks
   • Communicate and coordinate activities with others prior to, during and on completion of the work activity
2. Monitor, adjust and report on execution of the maintenance management plan
   • Monitor execution of work activities against the maintenance management plan
   • Monitor site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plan performance to ensure achievement of planned outcomes
   • Identify and implement improvements to work programs and procedures
   • Complete and submit written reports as required by the maintenance management plan
   • Recommend corrective actions to improve safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plan

Performance Evidence

Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include that the candidate:

locates and applies relevant legislation, documentation, policies and procedures

implements the requirements procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient application of the site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance system including:

identifying the relevant information and scope of the work necessary to meet the required outcomes

interpreting and applying operational performance data

identifying viable options and selecting options that best meet the required outcomes

procedures for choosing appropriate operational and construction techniques

procedures for choosing and assigning appropriate plant and equipment

work plans development and administration procedures

works effectively with others to plan, prepare and apply the site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance system including:

complying with written and verbal reporting requirements and procedures

provide team leadership

demonstrates completion of the application of the site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance system that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:

preparing a maintenance management plan

selecting and confirming available resources for the work activity

identifying and implementing improvements to work programs

accessing, interpreting and confirming geological and survey data

Knowledge Evidence

The candidate must demonstrate knowledge in applying a site plant, equipment and infrastructure maintenance management plan through:

accessing, interpreting and applying legislative, organization and site requirements and procedures for:
